If you have been using Amazon Firestick for your TVs or while using our solution to display content, you might have noticed the pop up of ‘Still Watching’ if your TV is inactive or silent with no activity for around 5-6 hours.
With its newest update, Amazon sets the default setting as ‘No’ putting your device to sleep if you do not respond to the dialogue, it shows.
To prevent your device from falling asleep, follow these steps to disable this feature. We advise fully disabling this pop-up to prevent interruptions to your menu.
If the pop-up is currently on your TV screen: Press ‘Don’t show again’. This action will deactivate the feature and save it in settings.
You can also disable the feature in the device’s system settings by following the instructions below.
1. Click on the Settings button of your Firestick
2. Go to Preferences
3. Click on ‘Data Usage Monitoring’
4. Turn the ‘Still Watching’ setting to ‘Off’ along also disable other options if any.
Once done, the pop-up should not show again, and your Firestick will not go to sleep mode as well.
